Carrie Estok, Yelp.com

Today I got my culture on in Studio 5 at The Walnut Street Theatre, and it was awesome. We saw a performance by Philly's Nice People Theatre Company and were spellbound for an hour-and-a-half. Nice People are now my favorite theatre company in the city (not to mention the fact that I totally dig their name, the talent and their passion). The crowd was varied in age and race, making me believe that this theatre really is for everyone.

I walked out of the theatre asking myself why I didn't go to plays more often. The answer is probably because I spend my oh-so-precious free time lounging on the couch on my butt. I hearby decree that this is going to change (at least some of the time; a girl needs her couch potato time or else bad things may happen). It was a great, simple afternoon spent with my oldest daughter - you can't put a price on that (although the price for the tickets was less than the parking in the garage across the street!).
